Prep Instructions for Whole Chicken (3.5 lbs):

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare the chicken by removing any giblets from the cavity and patting the chicken dry with paper towels.
Season the chicken generously inside and out with salt, pepper, and any additional herbs or spices you prefer (such as garlic, rosemary, thyme, or paprika). Optionally, stuff the cavity with lemon halves, garlic cloves, and fresh herbs for added flavor.
Rub the skin with olive oil or melted butter to help the chicken brown and crisp up during roasting.
Place the chicken breast-side up in a roasting pan or on a wire rack set inside a baking dish.
Roast the chicken in the preheated oven for about 1 hour and 15 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) when measured at the thickest part of the thigh.
Rest the chicken for 10-15 minutes after removing it from the oven to allow the juices to redistribute.
